TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the challenges faced by Pakistani passport holders when applying for a Thai visa from Vietnam, particularly regarding financial requirements and the necessity of a Temporary Resident Card (TRC) and Work Permit. The individual questioned if they could use a bank statement from a relative due to not having the required 500,000 Baht in their account. Other comments highlighted the extra scrutiny and hurdles certain nationalities face during the visa application process and the regulations enforced by Thai embassies.
I am currently in Bangkok and it would take more money for flights, not less than 30K baht but still the issue 500K baht

You don’t live there. You have to go to an embassy where you live usually.
You know, Thailand is trying to make this easier for people to move there and I see all these people are gonna create problems and they’re gonna probably stop the visa or make more restrictions
You told the embassy in Hanoi that you were in Vietnam on a TR visa and now you're in Bangkok on a TR visa... 🤔
Did you already have a valid tourist visa for Thailand and left Vietnam shortly after writing to the embassy? If so, then what's the rush? You can stay for 60 days, extend for another 30 days and save more money (you have nearly 90 days for now). Then go back to Pakistan or exit to a country where you are entitled to apply.
half isn’t enough. However, as stated you are not eligible to apply via the Vietnam embassies. It will be the same for most of the Thai embassies in the region, unless you wait much longer (usually 4+ week review which is longer than most tourist visas).

Not every nationality can simply apply at a foreign consulate that isn't in their own country. Many nationalities face extra scrutiny, longer processing times, and residency requirements. If you are a passport holder from (without prejudice) a third world country, then you need to sift through the embassy website and ensure that you are informed about what additional measures apply to your application.
Citizens from the following countries/territories, who are residing in Vietnam and a holder of the Vietnamese Residence Card and/or Work Permit and meet the required conditions, are able to apply for visa in person at the Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi.
no that is not what they said. They wrote that a sponsor should be a person that has direct relationship to you... It is likely to take more than the persons bank statement, i.e. a sponsorship letter, possibly copy of some kind of ID too etc.
