TLDR : Answer Summary
A French citizen looking to travel to Bangkok for a cosmetic procedure has several visa options. If you are part of the visa exemption scheme, you can enter Thailand without a visa and can stay for up to 45 days. However, you may need to quarantine depending on your vaccination status: 10 days if unvaccinated or 7 days if vaccinated. It's also suggested to wait for potential changes in travel regulations around September 1, when vaccinated travelers may enter without quarantine. Additionally, you may contact the beauty clinic for assistance with obtaining a medical visa, especially if they have arrangements for procedures.

The hospital you have made arrangements with to do the procedure will help you get the medical visa you need to enter Thailand, and have the procedure done. That is the best way to do it for what you want. You need to have contacted the doctor and made all the arrangements for the procedure time line. Then they will help you get you medical visa.

I’m having cosmetic surgery in July and you don’t need to apply for a visa if you’re country is apart of the visa exemption scheme. Be sure not to mention anything about surgery.

The visa exemption is for tourist purposes only, not surgery. You could apply for a tourist visa but I don’t see the point in paying for a visa when you can get in the country for free.

You are also required to quarantine in a hospital when applying for the tourist visa.

what can be the problem if i mention it?

Wait for sept 1st when those vaccinated can enter with no quarantine *(except from a few countries and pending cabinet approval). This is according to Quarantine Progress Plan to bring tourists back.

Youll need to quarantine for 10 days if you aren’t vaccinated or 7 days if you are vaccinated

And you don’t need a visa as you can get a 45 day exempt stamp When you arrive

because you can get a visa exempt stamp on arrival which at present gives you 45 days and then can extend for a further 30 days. I’m not sure what you mean by Thailand is “still” closed?

But if you want to go for 1-2 weeks for surgery this ain’t doable due to the quarantine you will have to do
