Hello, I need to do an emergency visa run from Vietnam and was considering Thailand. I read there's a 30 days visa on arrival for French.
Do I need to fill any form or application before arriving?
Also i don't know how long i will have to stay exactly (7 to 15 days) is it mandatory to have a flight ticket to go out before the 30 days?
Do I need to show my vaccinations or to show a recent covid test?
Thank you very much for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a French citizen, you can obtain a 30-day visa exemption upon arriving in Thailand, which means you do not need to fill out any forms or applications prior to arrival. However, you must have a return or onward flight ticket planned within the 30-day period. If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you are not required to present a recent COVID-19 test. If you are not vaccinated, you will need to show a negative COVID-19 test result.
Yes, 30 day visa exemption for French. Nothing to apply or present before checkin / arrival. If fully vaccinated, no need for test. If not: COVID test needed. And yes, return (or onward) ticket out of Thailand within those 30 days is needed as well (though might not always be asked for / enforced) at either the checkin counter or at Thai immigration.
i come in every month into Thailand visa exempt i always have a return but I have never been asked to show it. You could by a return with best estimate and just make sure it’s flexible
There are several options to solve this. A fully refundable return flight ticket (which you could change of cancel once entered Thailand). A cheap throw away ticket by either bus or train into any nearby country. A borrowed return ticket (there is actual services in the internet offering that against a small fee). Make your pick.
thank you very much! All i needed to know but the return ticket is not a good news for me as i must wait my work permit from Vietnamese immigration but i don't know how long it will take. Knowing them it can be from 7 days to even 21 days...
