Over the summer, someone in the group applied with $16k and the LA consulate asked for proof of an additional $1k. Because of that, before I applied in August, I emailed the LA consulate directly and they confirmed the requirement was $17k. That said, people were still being approved with $16k after my application. It looks like the LA consulate is now making the $17k requirement official by posting it on their website.

USD it’s ~14k. Just go to Thailand embassy and it tells you. It’s 500,000 baht. The consulate’s do not dictate the price. Thailand immigration does. YOU ARE WRONG and just scaring folks. I got my DTV already wasn’t dumb enough toListen to posts like this.

You're not correct. The Thai Embassy and Consulates in the USA now showing different funds required...
Los Angeles is US $17,000
Others still are showing US $16,000
I expect all will soon be showing $17,000 due to the weakness of the US $.... that also happened a year ago when the amounts required were US $17,000.
