What are the financial requirements for applying for a Muay Thai DTV visa in Laos?
Hi everyone. I’m planning to apply for a Muay Thai DTV (Soft Power) visa in Vientiane, Laos and was hoping to get some advice from people who have applied there recently.
My main question is about the financial requirement. I understand I need to show the equivalent of 500,000 THB (around 15,000 USD). Can this be shown using investment or brokerage accounts, or does the embassy only accept money in a checking or savings account?
If it needs to be in a bank account, does the money need to have been there for a certain amount of time before applying?
I’m currently in Thailand on a visa exemption and I’m trying to figure out the best timing for my application. Any recent experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated.
