If you have the DTV for Thai language lessons, how long are you allowed to be out of the country? For example, if we wanted to travel somewhere in Asia for a couple of weeks, would that be allowed? I haven't found any information on this.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Holders of the DTV visa for Thai language lessons may face uncertainties regarding travel outside Thailand during their course of study. While some comments suggest that there may be no specific restrictions on the duration of leaving the country, others warn against it, citing strict enforcement by immigration authorities concerning education visa holders. Caution is advised for DTV visa holders considering travel during their studies.

DON'T LEAVE Thailand during the course of study. Thai Immigration Officers are cracking down on those who have a Thai language study Visa in their passport and leave Thailand during their course of study. That's a fact for Ed Visa holders... though uncharted waters for DTV Visa holders. BE CAREFUL

Thai language is usually not accepted. Only 1 or 2 people have said it has worked, but actually truthful evidence is limited, and it is embassy specific
