I’m waiting for my DTV to be approved but let’s say it will be approved and in the application I’ve said I’ll arrive to BKK in end of December but now I’m in Malaysia and want to do a trip to Indonesia, can I fly to Indonesia until that date I have said I going to BKK? Is there any restrictions where I must fly from into BKK with the DTV visa? If I said I will come on end December can I also come later than that?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can travel to Indonesia while waiting for your DTV visa appointment, but you must remain in Malaysia until your visa processing is complete if you applied there. Once approved, you have a five-year validity to enter Thailand, regardless of the travel date you provided. There are no specific restrictions on your entry airport.
You can fly into Thailand from wherever you want BUT if you applied for the DTV in Malaysia you need to remain in Malaysia until the process completes (this is true wherever you apply)
The visa is valid for five years from the date of approval. The applicant may enter Thailand at any time during this period, subject to immigration approval upon each entry. In other words, the validity is not tied to the travel date stated in the application form.
