Confused is not the word ! Coming from UK 18 November .. I’m fully vaccinated … what are the specific rules for booking my 1 night ASQ ? Embassy site just directs you straight to Agoda ? Do I just book and assume everything is taken care of ie. transfers and testing ? Also do I need proof of onward accommodation ?
Summary so far
A traveler from the UK expresses confusion about the requirements for booking a one-night Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) hotel in Thailand after being fully vaccinated. The traveler is directed to the Embassy website, which leads to Agoda for booking, but seeks clarity on what additional arrangements, such as transfers and testing, are necessary. There are concerns regarding the need for proof of onward accommodation and comments highlight that the rules are currently changing, referencing ongoing updates from authorities and the shift to the ThailandPass system.

A pal has been looking too but hotels do not have the SHA+ 1 night offerings yet. Still need full details from relevant authorities. As above it is a state of flux. Just have to wait is only advice right now

Not a great situation to be in as you just want to book and relax before holiday. You have 2 weeks in November so will be fine.

The rules are in a state of flux currently due to the change from the CofE system to the ThailandPass system and quite possibly the website may not have updated information.

is it best to just sit tight and monitor things until the 1st ? It seems I could book one night in an ASQ hotel , but am completely unaware what the package involves ? I have flight, insurance , vaccination all sorted , but cannot get visa application sorted without proof of accommodation if I’m right ?

If you’re coming on the 18th I’d hang tight and wait and see.
