Contradicting feedback from cookings schools regarding how many sessions a 6 month cooking course needs to consist of to safely secure a DTV. One big school ditched their 8 session course and replaced with 24 sessions. A more expensive course but they said it’s necessary to obtain the DTV. Other big school said nah, 8 sessions is fine. I’m not knowing who to believe and my local Thai embassy is impossible to contact. Can anyone advise 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is conflicting information about how many sessions are required for a 6-month cooking course in Thailand to secure a DTV. One school has switched from 8 sessions to 24, claiming the latter is necessary, while another insists 8 sessions suffice. To verify a school's eligibility to issue DTVs, it is recommended to contact the Thai embassy or ensure the school has the appropriate certifications from the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
The official requirement any organisation should have to be allowed to issue DTV is :
„Tourism Authority of Thailand Certification“
What you can do is ask your embassy of Thailand in your home country or anywhere else and write an email if this certain school is officially qualified or not, should have (TAT) or (MHESI) certificate.
Reddit or google or Tripadvisor is all heresay without evidence. To be 100% sure ask the embassy
