TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among community members is that online classes cannot qualify for an ED visa in Thailand. The ED visa requires students to attend classes physically in Thailand. While there are some online study options available, they do not meet the criteria for obtaining this type of visa. Blended learning might offer some flexibility with classroom attendance, but primarily, in-class presence is mandatory for the visa.
Blended learning is OK for an Ed Visa. I've no idea what the rules are on that or if there are formal rules, but that only alleviates you some classroom attendance, not all.
There are a few on here who like to be judgemental and don't take people's circumstances into account, just because "I'm alright Jack". It is possible as Thailand is flexible, just be aware that people get transferred and agreements can change. Do you research on the company.
during covid all the schools were online only... ahh, the good ol' days of covid. These days it'll be a lot harder to find. There are schools that will do it for you, but not the large reputable ones.
You can find one in Pattaya. I have a buddy that goes "online" for a school in Pattaya. Meanwhile, I am going 5 times a week for 3 hours a day. Plus I have to dedicate 2 hours a night to studying since they go at a crazy pace.π
If you want to study online you can do that from your home country. An ED visa is issued because you need to be in Thailand and in your classroom to study. Online study is not eligible for an ED visa.
