Do any Thai language schools offer fully (or mostly) online programs?

I would like to learn Thai and I would like to obtain an ED visa, but I do not want to be stuck in one city, if possible.

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question seeks information about Thai language schools that offer online programs suitable for obtaining an ED visa. However, responses indicate that there are currently no known schools providing online classes that qualify for the ED visa, as the visa requires in-person attendance. There are mentions of free online classes to start learning Thai, but the ED visa stipulations restrict extensions based on online enrollment.

You are not gonna be able to get extensions of stays on the ED visa because you have to apply for the extension at the immigration office where the school is located :O

So while there are schools that currently offer their programs online, you aren't gonna get an ED visa from studying that way

Thanks

. I deeply want to learn Thai language so I can connect with Thai people and Thai culture. In an effort to connect with Thai people and culture, I would like to be able to travel through the countryside while studying. I do want to study Thai language and plan to pass every test ;) Thanks

Thanks Tod. Occassionally traveling to whichever city the school is located in would be fine. I would just like mobility most of the time. Do you know which schools offer online programs?

. If you want to learn Thai exclusively online, you don't need to be in Thailand. One thing you have to understand about Thai immigration is that their requirements are quite strict. Whenever you go for an extension, your knowledge of the Thai language is tested. If you want to travel around Thailand, just get a Tourist Visa.

None that we know of with only online Ed visa classes.

And if you enroll in a language course you are to attend classes and study the language.

The Ed Visa is not a tourist visa.

And at this time not available to enter Thailand.

Check back in a few months.

Good luck...btw..there are FREE Thai language classes on the internet. Get a head start.
