I recieved my Thailand 60 day tourist visa. I am confused about the dates on my visa. I have a valid from date, and a valid until date. Are these dates for entry to Thailand and does not determine your lenght if stay?
Answer summary
The dates on your Thailand 60-day tourist visa indicate when you can enter the country, specifically, the 'valid from' and 'valid until' dates. You must enter Thailand within this time frame to receive a 60-day stay permit upon entry, regardless of the visa's validity period. If needed, you can extend your stay for an additional 30 days at the immigration office.

the Single Entry Tourist Leisure Visa is valid for one entry into Thailand for THREE months FROM THE DATE it got issued. This is called visa validity (seen on the .pdf after "must be used until") . . . . . . the length of the stay permit when you enter Thailand within the visa validity, will be 60 days. Which can be extended by 30 days for 1900 Baht on Immigration
Your SETV is valid for 90 days from the date of issue and if you use it to enter Thailand on any one of those 90 days you will get a 60 day entry stamp (every entry is at the discretion of the Immigration Officer)
As you can see in this diagram, the dates in your 60 day tourist visa is the dates you can enter Thailand. Once you enter and get your passport stamped, you have 60 days to stay from that date. To extend an additional 30 days, you have to go to Immigration office.
wrong. You are so terribly wrong. You have not understood the meaning of "visa" and you confuse the "visa validity" with the "stay permit". . . . just STOP giving wrong advice in this group !!!
