Just an update on my METV. Just had my first 30 day extension granted by the Phuket Immigration Office (Tambon Tamar Yai).
Booked an appointment in advance online for 8:30am. Arrived at 8:15, and there was already a line of about 20 people (given since yesterday was a public holiday).
Doors opened at 8:25 and I had seen the first initial officer by 8:30 where I was handed a ticket with a number on it (note I was never asked about my appointment). By this stage there were already 30 people with tickets waiting.
My number was called by 8:40, and I saw an officer who took all my documents, passport and payment (all prepared thanks to the flyer the TVA Forum provided me with). I then waited for my passport to be stamped and my name was called at 9:09.
All done and dusted in less than an hour! Thanks for everyone’s help once again ☺️
I do have one query though.. My stamp reads until 24 November which is longer than 30 days? So I just depart by that date, correct? And not actually 30 days after today? Not complaining though! An extra couple of days up the sleeve is always nice 😉
