What are the requirements for obtaining a DTV as a remote worker in Thailand?

Hi Everyone,

I'm seeking some guidance regarding the DTV. I'm a New Zealand citizen currently residing in Dubai, where I work for my family’s company as Head of Sales. Most of my work is done remotely.

In terms of documentation, I can provide a signed letter from one of the business partners confirming that my role is remote. Would I also need to submit an employment contract? Is there a minimum salary threshold I should be aware of?

Additionally, the majority of my funds are held in an Australian bank account. Will this be an issue given that my residential address is in Dubai, my passport is from New Zealand, and my funds are in Australia?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A New Zealand citizen residing in Dubai is seeking guidance on the necessary documentation for a DTV application. They question if a signed letter from a business partner confirming their remote work role and an employment contract are needed, and inquire about minimum salary thresholds. Additionally, they ask if having their funds in an Australian bank account while their residential address is in Dubai poses any issues.

Okay, yes, no, no problem. Plenty of posts about approvals with all the info you need. Scroll. Especially search Dubai if that's where you will apply.

NZ citizen here but I applied through Australia. I just put in a flight number and hotel that I liked the look of. Booked the flight and accommodation after it was approved.

Sounds like you’ll get it. Just start submitting paperwork and when they ask for more just keep submitting more.
