I have Non Immigrant 'O' (retirement) visa issued in Chon Buri in March 2022.

Do not need to update my place of residence in Thailand until May 2022.

Left Thailand to return UK to sort out some business April 8th and returning Thailand 29th April.

I appreciate I still have to go through Thai Pass system but do I also have to book test and go (PCR) in hotel on arrival potentially for 24 hours.

Thanks in advance for answers

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user holds a Non Immigrant 'O' (retirement) visa and is returning to Thailand from the UK. They have questions about the Thai Pass system and PCR testing requirements upon arrival. Comments clarify that a re-entry permit is necessary for re-entry, and most travelers must complete the Thailand Pass and PCR tests unless otherwise specified for permanent residents. Additionally, it's important to update residency information at the local immigration office within 24 hours of returning.

You need to update your place of residence with your local immigration within 24 hours of arriving back into Thailand, if you get stuck in quarantine I'm sure it won't be a problem, it's beyond your control.

You need to fill in a TM30

Not sure what you mean by update your place of residence. If you mean 90 day reporting, that reset when you left and the day you enter will be day 1 again.

Thanks Stuart, I have re entry permit. I only ask as on Thai pass site it indicates that if you are non Thai but resident in Thailand you should follow guidance for Thai nationals and not required to book into test and go hotel.

Strange. I thought even Thais need to do the PCR, so not sure where that comes from. Anyhow That would be for permanent residents is my guess. Not for you.

As long as you bought a re-entry permit before you left you can use your existing stamp to enter. Everyone currently needs to get the ThailandPass and if vaccinated do the test and go PCR on arrival.
