What are the requirements for proof of funds when applying at a Canadian embassy, and how long should funds be in my account?

Anyone approved in Vancouver Canada embassey (or other Canadian embassey) showing recent bank statements for proof of funds? Would like to apply as soon as possible but I will need to transfer funds to my account before I can apply and not sure if I should wait for the funds to stay in my account for a month - 6 months before applying. Is there also a way to find out if I contacted the embassey? Would hate to get rejected and lose $650 cad. Thank you in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry discusses the requirements for proof of funds when applying for a visa at a Canadian embassy, particularly regarding how long funds need to be in the bank account before applying. A comment notes that one individual was able to apply after just one month at the Ottawa embassy, although there are concerns about whether guidelines have become stricter recently. The original poster is also looking for advice on how to check with the embassy prior to applying to avoid rejection and financial loss.

For Ottawa I needed just 1 month, but I applied right away in July..not sure if they have become more strict since then

was it stated anywhere before you applied or did they tell you upon submitting the documents. Just wondering if there's anyway I can find out for sure before applying at the Vancouver embassey

Anonymous participant nope, at first I submitted a brokerage statement of my investments, but they then asked for a bank statement showing I had 19k cad in chequing or savings. They didn't mention anything about how many months were adequate.
