Hi, I received the attached request, I had provided everything required for work and ID verification and it was all accepted. Context: applying as a UAE resident with a job in Dubai that’s allowing me to work remotely and has provided a letter and trade license, have had job for 6+ months. I’ve had multiple document requests come in over last couple of weeks, with this latest update, this is only one remaining.

I have a checking and savings bank account at the same bank, they are my only 2 personal accounts and I comfortably clear the requirement but as a combined balance. The savings is more recent as was started through an account transfer from Checking, with the only source of funds in that account being my checking account.

Since they’ve mentioned 1 account, I will move everything into a singular account and document in a cover letter all movement between the 2 accounts showing that I’ve always maintained balance.

Will that be enough? I was always told showing a checking and savings as long as they are personal accounts in name of applicant, would be no issue.

Would appreciate any and all advice around this topic.
Answer summary
The user, a UAE resident, is seeking advice on whether consolidating funds from two personal bank accounts into one account and documenting the account movements is sufficient for their visa application. They have already provided necessary verification documents but have received multiple requests for additional financial documentation. Community advice suggests that it may be beneficial to move funds into one account to simplify the application process, and to include a cover letter explaining the account structure and demonstrating compliance with financial requirements.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I really appreciate it. I have now submitted an Iban letter for both my checking and savings proving they are my accounts at the same bank. In addition I provided a letter explaining that the accounts are my checking and savings and what the combined balances equal to on a monthly basis.

I also showed a recent transfer from my savings into my checking, that makes the checking account higher than the requirement. Showed it from both checking and savings side through the statement and explained everything in the cover letter.

So 🤞🤞

Could you try and combine both accounts into one document ?

Savings (pages 1-3)

Checking (pages 4-5,)

You can use 2 accounts. I used my Thai account and my bigger Australian bank account.

Many embassies only want to see one account. They don’t want anything complicated (even when it isn’t complicated). You can transfer the funds into one account, but you will also need to wait 3 months for it to be seasoned

DTV_BegPecker well that’s dissapointing, I meet all the requirements, that means my seasoning would need to start from today. Do you think I could try a cover letter to explain to them ? Both accounts are personal accounts in my name. Thanks for your comment.

write a cover letter explaining the accounts. I had to write a letter explaining how I would support myself even thought I had seasoned funds. I use two accounts, one to hold funds, more than the 500k baht, and the other for daily living and in case I lose my atm card I have a backup access to funds. There were a lot of transfers between the accounts. I used ChapGPT to help the letter and to raise any questions an immigration officer might have so I could explain it in the letter. Got my soft power approved a couple days after submitting. Hope you have the same luck

I agree with Marianne. You already paid, so no harm trying to explain by adding a cover letter and attaching a copy of the original bank account at the end of current account showing the funds were transferred from one to the other.

If you already applied and paid for the application, the worst that can happen is they won't accept it and you will have to do it again.

... Which is pretty much the same as if you don't do what they ask.
