TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a visa through the Sydney embassy, the requirement for bank statements varies among applicants. Some users reported that a minimum of three months of statements was needed, while others mentioned they submitted only two months or even just proof of balance, contingent on maintaining a minimum balance of 500,000 THB. A few individuals provided more comprehensive documentation, such as six months of statements, to preempt any requests for additional information. Processing times for applications also varied, with reports of 18 to 26 days for processing.

I was approved just last week via Sydney. I went overkill and provided six months of statements for my main account (40+ pages, and I didn’t blur out any transactions), and I also attached the proof of balance reports for both of my accounts (dated the day of application). I did this as I wanted to avoid a request for further documents.

But I’ve seen in the group that some others applying in Sydney (who were successful) provided less (for e.g. two months of statements; four months; or just proof of balance).

Both Sydney and ACT both 3 months of statements required. If I had my way again I would include whatever your bank balance is on a conversion showing AUD/THB as we had more than enough but was asked for our bank statement again.

From start to finish ACT 26 days, Sydney 18 days.

Good luck
