TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Single Entry Non-B Visa in Kuala Lumpur, proof of onward travel and proof of accommodation are generally not required if the application is for employment purposes. Applicants should follow the specific checklist provided by the Thai embassy and ensure that they have the appropriate documentation based on their individual circumstances.

Thanks again for all the people that posted here, particularly Robert Lagas. I really appreciate that people take time out of their lives to help others in this way.

So as Robert confirmed, I didn’t need to show onward travel or accommodation paperwork since my visa application was for non B/ employment.

All’s well I collect my passport tomorrow and on Saturday head back to the island.

Two different ways to go the visa's and than 3 different types of Non Immigrant B visa. What to choose? The easiest one, roll the dice or lets use common sense.

Do you have a passport of one of the nationalities mentioned on the list with restrictions? Passport is from UK so answer is NO.

Which Non Immigrant B visa do you need that fit your purpose of stay?

Are you a teacher? NO, do not use option for teaching purpose

Do you work for or own a Malaysian company and will be send on regular business trips to Thailand? NO, do not use the option for business purpose.

Do you work or own a company in Thailand? Yes. use the option for Employment and surprise, no travel requirements needed.

Are you applying Non-B for business or employment?

If you mean employment, I don't see proof of onward travel nor proof of accommodation in the checklist for not-listed-country-passport-holders.

If you are applying for business purpose, you definitely need them. You need to leave with in 90days.

If your passport country is one of listed countries, you need to have all proofs.

Either way, you need to fill the appropriate checklist. They wouldn't let you in without complete checklist and appointment confirmation.

There's a checklist from that embassy that you need to follow, if I remember correctly.

However, for a single entry Non-B, I highly doubt you need proof of onward travel and accommodations; the government will assume you'll get an extension of stay.

Edit: Non-B for business purpose checklist:

********************************************************************************

Non-B for employment:

********************************************************************************

Non-B for being a teacher

********************************************************************************

Choose the right one, fill out the box, and send the packget together.

that’s what I thought, it just worried me because the checklist does include proof of onward travel and accommodation. I’ve never been asked for either before with a non b
