Hi Group, for Retirement visa renewal if I am using Embassy letter as proof of income do I still need to provide bank statements and update bankbook etc on renewal date?
Secondly does anyone has any tips or advice on visiting the Nonthaburi Immigration Office? I tried getting a check list there but they don't have one and all they said was same as last year but i dealt with another IO last year. I am wondering what their pictures requirement is specifically.
Finally is making an online appointment useful there? I will make one in any case ๐ฌ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquiring about the renewal of their Retirement visa using an Embassy letter for income proof wonders if supplementary bank statements and updated bank book are needed. Responses indicate that recent changes by the Canadian embassy may affect the issuance of income letters, and that requirements can vary between immigration offices. Tips for visiting the Nonthaburi Immigration Office include bringing all necessary documents and making an online appointment. Personal experiences suggest that showing the previous office's interaction could help clarify documentation requirements, and that the specifics of photo requirements for the application may not be stringent.

I used Nonthaburi last year for retirement extension. You need all the documents as per Bangkok and can also do it from 45 days in advance.
Make an appointment online for early morning and print off 2 copies of the confirmation. Bank book pages photocopied from last 12 months (you need to update bank book on day of appointment) and thereโs no bank close to the office. Bank letter up to 7 days old too.

I'm not sure but it looks like you may be Canadian. If so I heard that as of April 01 they were no longer issuing letters of income. Perhaps you got one before then.
You should go back there and let them see you're passport so they know that you used a different office last year. That should motivate them to give you the requirements
There are no picture requirements for extensions based on retirement at most all offices other than just the 4X6cm one on the TM7 application for extension
You can certainly book an appt but know that some offices don't 'honor' them ๐ฎ They make you get a queue and wait it out with who ever is already there
One other thing, as you said you dealt with another office last year, you should have done a TM30 when you moved to Nonthaburi, and been doing 90 day reporting at that office too.
This is a generic hand out listing the requirements at MOST offices but as I said it's generic and not office specific.

Normally youโll need to provide a copy of the original documentation used as the basis for income verification at the embassy. As last year's tax return or annual statement from your pension provider. Formally youโre not obligated to transfer or keep any funds in a Thai bank account as long as youโve got a affidavit letter.
thank you, sir. The new landlord did issue a new TM30 and I have been doing my 90-day reports. I was actually asked to produce some pictures taken from my house at the Chiayaphum IO last year, so that's why I asked. Still unclear as to the bank statement bit but will ask them again.
