Hello to all the group. I need to apply for my second retirement visa extention in Bangkok.

May I ask as to whether there have been any changes to procedures, documents required and advice for the process since a year ago?

Can anyone forward me the usual flyer with instructions and recommendations, updated if its the case?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A participant is seeking updated information on the process and requirements for a second retirement visa extension in Bangkok. Community members provided insights indicating that while the general requirements may be similar to those from the previous year, specific offices like Chaengwattana could have stricter and updated demands, such as more stringent rental agreement requirements. Additionally, they highlighted the need for several documents such as a bank statement verifying funds, TM30 receipts, and evidence of residence compliance.

I believe that the OP has the answers needed for his question about the One year extension of stay as retired.

Thanks all for your helpful replies.

AFAIK the requirements are the same as they were last year.

IF you are using banked money method (the 800K baht) you need to get a year detail transaction print out from your bank as well as the standard bank letter AND update your bank book the day you apply for the extension too

This is so they can see that you met the seasoning requirements of 800K baht in your bank account for 3 months after your extension was granted last year and then that the balance never went below 400k for the rest of the time until it was back to at least 800K 2 months before you apply for this new extension

You still need a map to your house hand drawn, you need the TM30 receipt, you need the most recent 90day report receipt, and if you lease you need the land lord house book and thai i/d

may i ask a question?

if the applicant is the owner of the house he is living in is the TM30 still required?

@Mike ******
... yes, every foreigner is required to file a TM30 or have it filed for them.

You have to go to the Chaengwattana office to check their latest requirements. The attached is what we provide in this group, just general information and NOT Bangkok-specific. For one example, Bangkok is now stricter about rental agreements, as many people are required a copy of the owner's ID and the bluebook, those are not on this info or the Bangkok office website. There might be some more.
