TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the necessary documentation for renewing their Retirement Visa (NON-O) at Thai Immigration for the first time. The community responses suggest starting by picking up the official list of requirements from the immigration office, as these can change over time. Some users advise bringing more documents than you think are necessary to avoid missing anything, and mention that the US Embassy does not provide certain letters anymore. Overall, personal experiences from other expats show that visiting the immigration office early and being prepared with a comprehensive set of documents can ease the renewal process.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
Another perspective is to go as early as possible which would be 30 or 45 days depending on your immigration office. Ask your question and then bring everything that is easy to do. It’s a lot easier to bring too much than not enough. If they don’t want it they won’t take it. If you don’t have something then you have plenty of time to get what you need and return another day if that is necessary. Take notes. Next time you will know what you need to know.

Check the IO office.

These were the requirements when I did my extension in CM in August this year
You don't need an agent but safest and to ensure all in correct order you need to pick-up the 'documents needed' instruction sheet & 3 page application. It's very challenging to get all documents for Non-O Visa & some docs dropped or added different years, so best collect from Samui Immigration. Note.. US Embassy Bangkok and some others no longer issue letter & Immigration aware. Also, when applying within thailand a police report has never been asked of me. H

Go to immigration and ask for a list of their requirements.
the suggestion is good, what they may require potentially varies from one immigration office to the next. Asking them and avoiding the smart asses here is your safest bet. 😉👍
