Non-Immigrant Type B Visa / Work Permit: Is there a link that outlines all requirements for getting a work visa once you are sponsored? I am trying to find out if there are any rules/laws about once you get the work visa, do you have to be back in Thailand within a certain period of time (i.e. 15/30 days) in order for the work visa to be valid? Curious about any other rules. Waiting on a response from my sponsor, but also trying to plan traveling so thought I would ask in here. Thank you in advance!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Non-Immigrant Type B Visa is essential for working in Thailand, often linked with a work permit. Once sponsored, individuals must adhere to specific requirements, including a 90-day entry window to Thailand after visa issuance. Queries about travel restrictions and timing should be directed at the visa sponsor for clarity on how long one can be outside Thailand without affecting visa status.

A single entry Non-B visa is valid for 90 days <- that means you have 3 months to ENTER thailand and get a 90 day entry stamp.

As far as whether you can travel, I'd say talk to who ever is sponsoring you for the visa about how many days you can be gone.

Good Luck, look at the thai consulate you are thinking of using to get the Non--B visa from and see what their requirements are for the different reasons they issue Non-B visas (teaching, work other than teaching, conducting business, etc)

@Adam ****
ahh in that case a single entry 90 day Non-B visa is valid for 90 days from the date you get it so you have 3 months from the date you apply for the visa to come back to thailand and get stamped in on it :)

Okay, first off there is NO such thing as a "work visa" :O There is a Non-Immigrant Type B visa <- the B means business and it is issued for working along with a work permit <- which is what lets you work in thailand.
