Can somebody please clarify the requirements and entry process for 60 days exempt entry? I've seen some places where they state you have to have 10.000 baht to show, others say it's 20.000. I've also heard about some document you need to fill out in order to get a QR code. What else? Do they ask for an onward ticket and/or proof of acomodation? Thank and sorry if this had been asked before

TLDR : Answer Summary
To enter Thailand under the 60-day visa exempt policy, travelers are generally expected to present proof of funds (20,000 baht for individuals or 40,000 baht for families), proof of accommodation, and an onward ticket. However, enforcement of these requirements can vary by immigration officer. It's also advisable to check with your airline regarding their policies on proof of onward travel. While there are mentions of needing to fill out a health pass QR code for travelers coming from yellow fever risk areas, many travelers report that they were not asked for any of these documents upon arrival.

If you arrive from a country where Yellow Fever vacc is required, mostly Africa and South America, you will need to register on thaihealthpass and obtain a QR code

If your coming on a one way ticket they might query you but you could buy a cheap throwaway ticket if your worried. Remember you can get a thirty day extension on top of the 60 days.

Read the website of the Thai Embassy in your country instead of listening to rumours of unknown origin.

Expanding on what Stuart has said, it is possible your airline will ask for proof of an ONWARD journey out of Thailand within 60 days, and might refuse boarding at your point of origin. Best to check with your airline if they enforce this rule

That's a new one. Been coming for 30 plus years, never been asked. But one thought comes to mind. Enter dressed like a tramp, many do these days, and I would ask.

As for ETA, June 2025 it may kick off. We have seen othr countrues push this back.so could Thailand

Officially to enter visa exempt you may need to show proof of funds - 20,000 baht or equivalent in cash, proof of accommodation (for the first few days at least) and proof of a ticket out.

However for 99% of those who enter visa exempt they won’t be asked for any of that. No one can say whether you will or won’t because it’s up to the immigration officer you hand your passport to.

The QR thing you mentioned is for an ETA and that has been postponed until sometime in the future.
