I'm going to apply for my Non O (based marriage) in Phnom Penh Cambodia.

I reached out to the Thai Embassy there for information that is required, they replied back with an email with a link to the required information that I was after but for the life of me there's no direct information.

Has anyone applied for a Non O in phnom Penh before ?

Is there a formal application form that I need to follow or fill out?

Has anyone got the required information that I need to apply for a Non O visa?

Has anyone got a direct web link to the required information that I need?

Thank you

One last thing
@Gee *******
, it's not getting out of thailand & into cambodia that's gonna be hard, it's getting BACK into thailand with a pile of covid 19 extensions in your passport when you hit passport control coming back in. Even with a valid Non-O visa based on marriage they will probably put you thru the wringer if you have an extensive history of covid extensions.

Have proof of funds, (20 K baht in CASH)

Have proof of lodging (letter from your wife saying you stay at xxx address)

Those are the things they will ask you for if they're gonna give you a hard time. You wouldn't need proof of onward travel because you're comin' in on a Non-Immigrant visa

I came thru Swampy this afternoon. Immigration was slow as they were questioning quite a few ppl and asking them additional documents.

What I could gather it was "how long you stay" and "where you stay". So proof of departure flight and/or address beyond the first night test&go hotel.

Also large signs above the counter saying "we need address after quarantine hotel".

Customs out in force as well. Lot of dogs and scanning luggage on exit.

yeah I'm getting mentally prepared for something.

I will definitely take your advice given.

I'm hoping with my yellow book, Thai ID and the 20k in cash and my wife with me, I'm hoping to get through.

did you have to make an appointment to submit your application and documents or just rock up and do it over the counter?

@Gee *******
the last thing you need to worry about is downloading the correct application 😛 Just get it when you show up there.

The real question IS can you show the full proof of funds 400K baht or the equivalent in a bank account in your name?

@Tod ********
yes,

Funds have been untouched for 1 year in my own Thai bank account.

Basically I go to the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh ask for the application form and submit back over the counter with the original documents and a copy of all the documents.

Pay the fee and wait..

The letter that my wife need to write, she just needs to outline our history?

@Gee *******
sounds like you meet the requirements, update the bank book the day you fly out if you can (as you won't be able to update it in cambodia 😉) and that way it'll show a recent balance

@Gee *******
the letter just needs to be hand written (in thai is fine) addressed to the thai consulate in phnom penh showing her name, thai i/d number, your name, passport number, were married on xxx date, and shes' asking they issue you a visa based on marriage
Tod *********
unless I'm wrong, that's not the application you'd use in Phnom Penh, you get it at the gate when you show up
Tod *********
I know for a fact they don't sell the year long multi-entry Non-O (where you used to bounce out and back every 90 days to get another 90 days), just a 90 day single entry one.

Looks like they list this as the requirements

1. Passport or travel document with validity no less than 6 months

2. Visa application form completely filled out and signed

3. Recent 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm photograph of the applicant

4. Copy of marriage certificate, passport, and identity card of the applicant’s Thai spouse or copy of birth certificate of the applicant’s Thai child, and passport and identity card of the child

5. Letter from the Applicant’s Thai spouse

6. Bank statement

The one that concerns me is the bank statement that has NO amount listed (some consulates want to see 400K baht or the equivalent in a bank account.
