Dear all, I have to do a visa run and I was planning to go to Taiwan.

I've already read all the posts about it in the group yet I still have some questions.

I hold a Spanish passport and although I'll be going with a brand new one, I've been in and out Thailand for over a year now.

Needless to say, I've been to most neighbouring countries previously in order to renew my tourist Thai visa.

Will that be too much of a problem?

It sounds really complicated and I'm not sure quite likely it is to get it. I must leave on Tuesday 27th.

Any advice is most welcome.

Cheers!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning a visa run from Thailand to Taiwan and seeks advice on potential complications given their frequent travel in and out of Thailand with a Spanish passport. Comments suggest that obtaining a new visa at the Thai Embassy in Taiwan should not pose significant issues, provided the user meets the necessary requirements, such as having sufficient funds, proof of accommodation, and onward travel documentation.

Marisa want to know of the Embassy in Taiwan is good, well a link is showed and I referred to that link. I missed the point of her questions and this page is for advice as she try to explain me. What kind of advice she is looking for she can not explain. Seeing that she is happy with the link provided I close the commenting.

Buying a new visa at the Thai Embassy in Taiwan should not be the problem if you meet the requirements. If you come back into Thailand, Immigration will match your old and new pasport, so be prepared and have the 20.000 Thb or equivalent currency in cash, proof of accommodation an onward travel.

I can understand, you want to go to Taiwan and now you find out there is no Thai Consulate or Embassy. This simply means you have to fnd another place to visit where there is a Thai Consulate or Embassy.

Robert, those requirements are still no so clear to me.

First of all, it says that Taiwan is a Chinese province and therefore therefor there is no consulate and so I need to do it somewhere else. I've been to HK, which I believe is a Chinese province and there is a consulate. I'm very confused

Yes, if immigration asks. Not that much, with a tourist visa for 60 days it is only 334 Thb a day. And if you apply for Extension of Stay it becomes even 200 Thb a day.
