I haven't spent much time in Thailand- but have been her almost 2 months...how safe is it to do a day trip to Singapore.Kl etc and return that day or next? Also I have a 2nd passport- should I use that, or do they double check?

you shouldn't have a problem IF you don't have a history of living here on back to back visa exempt entries or tourist visa entries.

IF you're wanting to switch passports you'd stamp out of thailand on the passport you're stamped in on BUT you'd stamp IN to Singapore on your other passport then stamp out of there and back into thailand

ah ok- then I will just continue on the same passport. I'd done too many visa runs in another country and am a bit gun shy at this point- i'd hate to get turned away and have all my stuff still sitting in a hotel room in thailand!

they WILL be able to see your previous entry history on the other passport because ALL the thai entry points are tied to the data base that matches by surname, sex, dob, etc.

What is the reason you don't want them to match to your other passport? It's usually not a problem.

thanks- I know how to switch passports that's not the issue...are they cross referencing at thai immigration (bc it's happened to me in other countries where they ask why)

if u left on a passport other than what u arrived on, your departure card would not match.

I'd be coming on a one way ticket from SG- what would this have to match?

@Sammy ******
you cannot switch passports in-country no, assuming she has dual nationality, assumptions are all we can make without further information.

In order to get an informed answer you may want to provide a bit more info such as what visa you are currently on, what do you call ‘not much time’, how many times you’ve entered Thailand, and your nationality.

AJ Martin - great touring if you’ve never been there, to include: Sentosa, hawker food, Music in the Park (also a good running route), Little & Big India, Singapore Night Zoo Safari, Merlin, Clarke Quay (nice waterside resturant area),...
