Answer summary
The community is discussing updates on the eVisa website, specifically regarding the DTV visas. Questions have arisen about the requirements for police clearance certificates for children applying for dependent visas. Some comments suggest that children under 18 may not need such certificates, particularly for Thai citizens, while others advise providing a document stating 'not applicable' if required. There is also speculation about whether applicants can apply from abroad now, as the new requirements don't specify physical presence in Thailand during the application process.

Interestingly, the new requirements no longer say that you have to be physically present in the country when applying. I wonder if they will actually allow applications from abroad now.
If they come from Australia, a criminal record clearance for under 18’s would be a good idea because the place is full of underage violent criminals; just look at the news in Australia 😳
YellowPomelo1882 Only for kids who are foreigners..most of us are married to Thais and have Thai citizen children thus we only have ourselves to worry about in terms of visa insurance.
I am talking about dtv dependent visa for foreigners. Of course you don’t need it for Thai kids. But usually anyone under 18 does not need criminal record check. So I think here they forgot about it and will update the system later
Well you have to submit a file as it is mandatory. But yeah I agree with you so I think just creating a file that says “not applicable” will do the trick
