ORIGINAL POSTER
I have previously had a retirement extension but because I didn't deposit 800k early enough last year after UK stopped issuing afadavit. So now on multi O. My questions:-

Do I need to season the money for 2 or 3 months?

At CM is the process easy for extension or do I need an agent.

I always have TM 30 up to date but rarely update my bank book. I a printed statement enough?

Kasikorn is my bank. How long does it take to get the required letter and how many days in advance can it be dated?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the requirements and processes for extending a retirement visa in Thailand after facing issues with a multi O visa. They inquire about the need to season their funds, the ease of the extension process in Chiang Mai, and the necessary documentation from their bank, as well as the timing for obtaining these documents.

The bank letter from Kasikornbank just states that you have a bank account and it will state the balance at the time of the letter. You should get the letter 1-3 days before you go to Immigration. At the same time you can get 3-6 months of bank statements printed. Bring your bank passbook to Immigration. They may take that and examine it. The same day you go to Immigration, make a small deposit or withdrawal from your account and update your passbook. I go to CW Bangkok but all that I just told you should cover what you need at CM.

The 800.000 Thb must be in the bank at least 2 months prior application date and stay there for at least 3 months after application date and the rest of the year not lower than 400.000 Thb. Process is easy if you come prepared. As it is not always the same at every single Immigration office, the advice is walk in and ask the hand out with the latest and updated requirements.

Some offices ask you to come back after three months to show your bank book again. As this rule came into play on 1 March 2019 we still do not know what will happen when you did not follow the rule when you apply for a new Extension of Stay. But the general idea is that new applications will be denied for not following the rules of your current Extension.
