I went to the Canada Thai embassy website. The website said a doctors physical filled out sheet stating good health about various things about you is necessary. Did I read it wrong?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about health documentation needed for a Thailand visa application, emphasizing information from the Canadian Thai embassy. Comments clarify that the Non-OA visa requires a doctor's physical confirming good health, alongside a criminal record check and insurance, while the more common Non-O visa has fewer requirements.

Thanks. I’m retired but age wise not eligible for any type of retirement visa.

If you apply for the non-OA visa, that is a requirement, along with criminal records check, mandatory insurance, etc. But most people don't want a non-OA visa, they want a non-O visa which has none of those requirements.
The initial Non-OA has the same financial requirements as a Non-O (retirement). The difference is that the Non-O requires 800k in a Thai bank account sooner for the Extension of Stay if an Embassy affidavit is not possible.
Thanks. I just wanted a 60 day VISA, hadn’t gotten one since 2019 & thought the exemption would be gone by the time I go (Feb & March 2026). I’m retired but not old enough for a retirement VISA.

Yes thats what i said: specific requirements. Thus some one you dont want to transfer 800k baht to a thai bank account will much more easy show money in their home country account just for short period.
