Hello,

I am planning to move to Thailand with my partner in April, and I am currently applying for a DTV visa on the official website. However, I am being asked to provide my flight number and accommodation details, but I was planning to book these after receiving my visa. Is it normal to have to provide this information at this stage of the application?

Thank you in advance for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
In the process of applying for a DTV visa for Thailand, it is common to be required to provide flight number and accommodation details. While applicants may prefer to book these after receiving their visa, responses suggest that using a placeholder flight number obtained from Google Flights and booking a hotel with a free cancellation policy on platforms like Agoda is acceptable.

Flight number is like a bus number, it only tells the route, but not date and time, so no problem to provide that.

You're supposed to input those, yes, and the intended entry date CAN'T be beyond 3 months in the future.

You can book a hotel on Agoda with free cancellation until almost day of arrival. I just booked today for Chiang Mai from 10th February. I can cancel until 8th for free without penalty
