Hi. What’s the differences between these two visas?
Peter ****
@Jay *******
one reminder about STV. Once you used up all 270 days stay for STV, you cannot change to other type of visa in Thailand. Mean you need to leave Thailand. For tourist visa, after you used all visa and extension allowable days, you can change to other type of visa, eg non o marriage, retirement visa extension.

how do I get the 60 days with the opportunity to extend by 30? Do I need to apply for that one? Thanks πŸ™‚
Michael ********
@Jodie *****
yes the 30 day visa extension is easy to do.
Michael ********
@Jodie *****
You can come visa exempt and get stamped in for 30 days, then you only need the Thailand pass
Jodie ******
@Michael *******
Also, do you need to apply for a TV if coming from the Uk or just a Thailand pass?
Jodie ******
@Michael *******
Ah okay. Is it a fairly easy process to apply for a visa extension when in Thailand on the TV?

Initially I accidentally applied for tourist visa and was issued a 60day visa, I reapplied for the special tourist visa which is 90days but can be extended twice at immigration, so its upto 270 days.
Michael ********
@Jodie *****
Tourist visa is 60 days extendable by 30 days in country Total 90 days.

STV is 90 days extendable twice by 90 days in country Total 270 days.

There are a lot of restrictions with accomadation and insurance. Click on evisa topic or contact your local embassy to find out more

Ok cool that was quite quick, but you did have all correct documentation ready.

Safe journey
