Special Tourist Visa related question!

Does anybody required to present criminal report to this type of VISA application?

Mine states nothing. (I have never ever committed a crime)

The problem is not to get one but it is hard to get a fully duty notarised one. (lot of paperwork and waiting time from my home country foreign ministry).

I just wonder does anybody else (other nationalities) required to present this doc too?

I am hungarian btw.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired whether a criminal background check is necessary for applying for a Special Tourist Visa (STV) for Thailand, noting that their application does not state it as a requirement. They expressed difficulty in obtaining a notarized report from their home country, Hungary, and sought insight from others who may have needed to provide such documentation. Comments suggested ambiguity around this requirement, with some questioning the necessity of a criminal report for a tourist visa, while others shared alternative methods for obtaining the necessary report.

So I figured out there are two ways to do this. One is to go through the fbi and get finger printed through usps or mail it in. The other is to go to a website called sterling and have usp scan your fingerprints which go through the Fbi. Both work for the STV process and around 70 dollars each

exactly first part of sentence. moreover, there is an open date on local lockdowns and other provinces may be easily added.

you certainly can take efforts to fulfill bureaucratic requirements of STV now, but, in my opinion, there is a substantive risk that substantial conditions of entry and actual stay in Thailand may change drastically for quite of time.
