Has anyone recently renewed their 12 month extension of stay, based on retirement at Koh Samui Immigration? Are there additional requirements now due to the Covid 19 situation? Any info appreciated as this will save me an extra trip from Koh Phangan.

And that is correct, as last year you promised to keep the 800.000 Thb for another 3 months in the bank account and the rest of the year not less than 400.000 Thb. As this only can be checked after the period, you have to show it when you apply for a new Extension of Stay.
