Hi All and i am enquiring on behalf of someone who has an extension of stay based on retirement.
I believe someone can provide the necessary paperwork a month in advance of the existing extension.
Say for example one present extension on 5th February I think it is ok to go to the Immigration office on the 4th January as the 5th falls on the Saturday.
Yes, just like if one" s next 90 day report falls on a Saturday one would normally come in a day or two earlier.
Thanks all
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the procedure for applying for an extension of stay based on retirement in Thailand. It highlights that one can submit the necessary paperwork to the immigration office a month before the existing extension expires, using the example of an extension expiring on February 5th, suggesting that it is feasible to visit the immigration office as early as January 4th, considering February 5th is a Saturday. The post also touches upon the importance of reporting for the 90-day requirement earlier if it falls on a weekend.
