What are the options for obtaining a 1-Year Non-B and Non-O Visa during COVID-19 restrictions in Thailand?

This is a question about Non-B & Non-O 1 year visa.

My husband and I have a Non-B & Non-O visa (we are both Americans) and our 3 month non-B/O visa expires this month. We were supposed to go out to Malaysia to get our 1 year non-B/O this month, but obviously now, can't go anymore with the lockdown.

Does anyone have any information about what's happening with the non-b & o visa for people who were supposed to be able to get the 1 year visa during this time? I'm wondering if we will be able to get the 1 year visa when we are allowed to make the visa runs again, or if they will make us start over and get the 3 month visa again?

We've been working with a lawyer, but she says she doesn't have any information and that we just need to wait and see until end of July.

We would like to get the visa taken care of within July if at all possible and wondering if anyone has any information on how to go about it. Thanks for your help.

Apply for one year extensions before your current Non B & Non O expiry if you meet the requirements (4 staff in social security and others)

We know Malaysia has announced borders remain closed thru August 31.

Cambodia is beginning to open up with e-visas to select nation passport holders.. but have strict requirements for entry  and possible 14 days quarantine.

And no entry into Thailand yet.

Laos is an option. With advanced  visa approval.

Thai Embassy in Savannakhet open. But no entry back into Thailand yet.

Vietnam reopening soon...for passport holders of select nations. No entry to Thailand yet.

And there is no information as to what visas will be available via the border runs. Nor the requirements to enter another SE Asia neighbor...with all closed to foreigners now...and reentry requirements to Thailand.

When your current NonO and NonB end you will be on amnesty to July 31.

If you seek one year extensions within Thailand...visit Thai Immigration and ask if it can be done and requirements to do so.

Otherwise until borders reopen you must wait.

There is NOTHING your lawyer can do that you cannot do yourself.
