I am looking at connecting flights for next February 2025. BKK to KBV........reviews for operating airlines are really quite worrying! Can anyone recommend a reliable airline for this journey. Price is not the main concern-reliability MOST important.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses recommendations for reliable airlines for a flight from Bangkok (BKK) to Krabi (KBV) in February 2025. Users suggest that Thai Airways and Bangkok Airways are among the most reliable options, while budget airlines can be reliable but are more no-frills. There is also mention of the possibility of booking a single ticket through code-sharing agreements, which can simplify travel arrangements.

Even budget Asian airlines are vastly better than anything in the US or Europe

Look for an airline that tickets from your location through to Krabi, much easier than two non-connected flights. Many of the major airlines have code shares with Thai airlines such as Bangkok Airways for a domestic connection.

Thank you. I will be using Quatar From UK to BKK

I was booked through from Samui to LHR with Bangkok Airways & Qatar so it will be possible as long as Bangkok Airways (or another with a Qatar code share) fly BKK to Krabi

Thai Air Asia has always been good for me

Thai Airways probably the most reliable, followed by Bangkok Airways. No guarantees but generally better than the budget airlines. Also, both fly from Suvarnabhumi so you avoid Don Mueang.

If you're in Bangkok then DMK is far more preferable than BKK.

Thatā€™s an airport in Kenya. I suspect itā€™s a typo and you probably mean KBV for Krabi.

Most of the budget airlines fly this route as well as Thai Airways.

Not sure why reviews worry you. The budget airlines are basically no frills and will get you from A to B. Think of them as a bus that flies. You get a seat, some include checked baggage and others will charge for that.

Itā€™s about 1

hour flight. Way quicker than a bus that doesnā€™t fly.

I'm not worried about luxury at all, just getting there together with luggage at same time. Many reviews reporting utter chaos, ancient planes and zero customer service when things go wrong. I was just looking for something positivešŸ˜

Bangkok Airways include luggage allowance with the flight. Thai Airways will too. Perhaps some others will Iā€™m not up on the policy for each airline.

If you read the reviews for most budget airlines worldwide then they are generally more often than not terrible. People usually only post reviews when they have a grievance and almost never when they had a ā€œnormalā€ experience.

Sure some flights are delayed, some may change times, some may cancel a flight altogether but usually only when there are extenuating circumstances perhaps weather or an issue with a plane for an example.

Iā€™d would guess that most are on time or a slight delay and very few are cancelled outright but if you fly with XYZ airline and it gets you from A to B within an hour or so of when they said they would would you write a review? Probably not. You paid them to get you there and they did.
