TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning to visit Thailand on a visit visa and is interested in opening a company with two shareholders and obtaining a work permit for one member. They seek information on the costs involved in starting the business and any potential monthly tax obligations associated with the work permit. The responses suggest consulting a Thai attorney and emphasize the need for hiring additional local employees (at least four for each work permit), as well as budgeting for legal, accounting fees, and income tax obligations based on set salaries.

You need a Thai attorney skilled in all this.

Your nationality ? Its not simple and its expensive.

What kind of business doing what in Thailand? For each work permit for a business you must employee 4 Thai employees. Plus pay set up legal and accouting fees quarterly and annually. Plus income taxes on the employee assuming 40,000 Thai baht monthly salary regardless of profit or loss.

If you are in Pattaya there are many foreign owned small operated cafes...the owners may enlighten you with their experiences.

since you are already planning on coming to Thailand for 30 days tourism visit I would strongly suggest you personally talk with many small restaurant owners to give you their personal advice and experiences about opening a cafe.
