TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is confused about the photo requirements for an online Thai visa application, asking if they need a 4X6 passport photo and a photo holding their passport. Various comments clarify that a 4X6 photo is unnecessary for online applications, and that specific requirements for photos are detailed during the application process. Users suggest checking the eVisa instructions and Thai embassy website for further guidance.
Have you looked at the website of the Thai embassy in your country, often there will be great help to find there, to supplement the manual in top right corner of the e-visa website.
you will need both a passport bio page photo AND a recent profile picture. No size issues for online, just needs to be under 3mb. If you click the info icon next to the picture it will show you lots of examples.
now read again. I said you don’t need photo with passport meaning you don’t need to do selfie with your passport as they required it before. Of course you need biometric data part
A 4x6 passport photo doesn't make sense for an online application. That's only for a physical application. They might require a passport style photo but that has nothing to do with 4x6.
The evisa application itself tells you exactly what to upload.
