TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around recent news concerning crossing specific borders into Thailand, with various community members acknowledging or questioning the news. Key points include confusion about who qualifies as an 'eligible' foreigner and a warning that certain borders may only allow for one-way entry into Thailand, rather than permitting quick returns.

Be aware that those and borders are ONE WAY, to get into Thailand.

Not open for stamp out, stamp in - out and return within 5 minutes.

It doesn't say what an "eligible" foreigner is though.

That's their catch-all word to say that you can be turned away if the admitting immigration officer deems you ineligible.

That's definitely news. I have not heard reports about anyone crossing there. If you go that way, let us know how it goes.

Nong Khai is only open with a Laos guide. I dont know anyone who entered this border.

Some have opened. The friendship bridge with Laos in Nong Khai is open as well, so it's good to hear that now a Cambodian checkpoint has opened.
