Hi there! I need to make one visa for the UK and one visa for France for my Thai girlfriend who will be visiting in September. What is the best strategy for the best chances to get those visas, knowing she is not working at the moment and doesn't have any property or business to her name? Thanks for your answers!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to secure UK and France visas for his Thai girlfriend, notably facing challenges due to her lack of employment and property ownership. Responders generally agree that her chances are slim without strong ties to Thailand, such as a job or property. Suggestions include documenting family responsibilities, demonstrating financial capability, and consulting visa specialists, while some commenters express skepticism about the likelihood of approval.

For UK it will be very difficult. You will need to show lots of money in your UK bank account to cover all her costs. If you own UK property show details. Have detailed documentation and timeline including photo journal of all the time you have spent with your girlfriend. Even with all this you probable have less than 1% chance you will get a visa for her. For UK you will normally need GF to have job for reputable registered Thai business, to own property, to have savings.

If she has family who are dependant on her then you have reason for her return. I did the same for my gf last year it is a ball aching process but went ok for UK. As for France I have no idea, good luck

she indeed has parents she needs to take care of. Any tips in the visa application process to increase our chances to get her a visa, since you were successful in the past?

go to the UK immigration website which is very comprehensive in what is required and look at the headings. Then start building a file of info under each of the headings. The pay the initial fee and you will be directed to a service website and arrange the interview with them. They submit to UK immigration and then it's a waiting game. As I said ball aching but we did it ourselves without any agents. Can do electronic depositing of documents or take paper copies

No chance at all. What they look for is reasons to return. She has none, so she is high risk category.

You don’t go anywhere near an “embassy” to get a visa and the visa application is sent to India to be processed.

I don't care if you have gone 100 times ok I don't give a fuck about you and your girlfriend, when I got the visa for my wife I had to go to the British embassy in Bangkok when they had one before they put it up for sale and proof that I was not married and my wife was going to come back to Thailand

Ok so you must be giving information that’s out of date. Things change John and just because you did something 20 years ago doesn’t mean it’s the same now. Giving old WRONG information that was right once is still WRONG.

Considering she not have any strong ties in Thailand will be near impossible. And it's two separate visa you need for her, one for UK and one for schengen.

Even if you do get a visa you need to be prepared for refusal at border when you arrive border control can refuse entry

I call that BS. It's the UK Embassy which decides if she is safe to go. On a valid visa, she won't be denied entry. She could however be asked to show funds in CASH and a credit card. Never heard of any Thai woman turned down at the UK border when she had a valid visa

Hmmm. Don't know why they would stop you if all was by the book and genuine. Ours certainly was. I suppose any country could refuse anyone entry for any reason real or imagined, Schengen and Britain included.

You already know she needs to convince the UK immigration that she will return to Thailand, she has a slim to get a visa without strong ties, in the comments someone mentioned Paul King his services are excellent, however, you must provide him the basic information and from you say it looks bleak.

I got one Visa for England in 2024 and one for 2025 both for my wife. The company who did this was Easy Visa in Pattaya and the agent is Paul King. Asto what you need to make it work I don't know and you'd have to ask Mr. King. Best of luck.
