Is it safe to wait an additional week after the expiry of the temporary stamp while waiting for a one-year extension in Phuket?

Has anyone else come across the fact that immigration is now taking roughly one week longer than the expiry date of the temporary stamp to process one year extensions in Phuket. It would not be so bad if they were prepared to give an additional temporary stamp, but apparently that would show up an inability to meet deadlines so is not an option. I wonder how vulnerable we are during this additional week without valid stamp?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user reports a delay in processing one-year extension applications for temporary stamps in Phuket, noting it now takes about a week longer than the expiry date of the stamp. They express concern about the lack of an additional temporary stamp to cover this period and wonder about their vulnerability without valid documentation. Comments from others suggest that there is generally nothing to worry about, based on previous experiences.
