Answer summary
An American seeking to utilize a 5-year DTV soft visa in Thailand is looking for recommendations on schools that would facilitate approval, preferably for language or Muay Thai education. Key responses indicate that while language study is primarily associated with an ED visa, TSL in Chiangmai offers a DTV accredited cultural studies course that includes Thai language instruction. Furthermore, several accredited Muay Thai boxing camps are noted, with links provided for exploration. It's highlighted that interested parties should confirm the specific requirements related to their visa type.

Depends on where you are planning on staying . I have heard good things about TSL Chiangmai. They are a language school . They offer a DTV accredited Thai Cultural Studies course . You can't actually study the Thai language on a dtv , that requires an ED visa. TSLs course allows you to study Thai through them in addition to the cultural studies for no extra cost . I was planning to go this route before deciding on a retirement visa.
I plan on enrolling in their Thai language course anyway as they are very well reviewed.
