Can anyone recommend a good insurance policy provider?

I'm already in Thailand, staying till the end of March (might go to one of the other SEA countries for a week or two). I want the policy to cover basic tourist activities like hiking, swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and scooter driving (I have a Thai driving licence).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks recommendations for insurance policies covering various tourist activities in Thailand, such as hiking and snorkeling, while also considering the need for scooter driving coverage. Comments suggest Check DI (formerly Mr. Prakan) as a potential provider and mention the importance of ensuring helmet use for motorbike insurance. Some users also recommend checking travel insurance options, particularly from international providers like World Nomads, or exploring policy extensions from existing insurance. Additionally, it’s noted that local insurers may have policies tailored for individuals already in Thailand.

I had travel insurance bundled with my credit card, but it expires after the first 2 months of travel - and that has passed already. The activities I mentioned were included in that insurance.

can you not contact them and ask then for an extension and to include the activities?

Otherwise you should be able to Google insurance and obtain that way..

sure, I can contact insurers back in my home country, but I decided to ask here first, maybe there's some recommended local insurers. In previous years I used Luma for that, but this year they don't have a policy on offer for if you're already in Thailand.

I hope you can get sorted

You need to check travel insurance ibstead since you will be staying here less tham a year.

With those extreme activities, i think World Nomada include it.

Anyway, this article has some good pointers of travel insurance in Thailand.

thank you.

Those activities are actually not extreme at all, they are usually included in basic travel insurance packages.

I use Check DI for motor insurance and they are very helpful. They do ither insurance too. No insurance will cover you on a bike without a helmet.
