Mae Taeng, Mae Salong, Santikiri, oh so many places. Rain and road conditions may make Pai difficult, but many options.

Stay on the Main Street. It’s just like home. MACDONALD’s, Starbucks, Dominos, KFC etc. Prices are around double US. If you want to see the real Thailand and real Thai food and people about 100 kms south of Chiang Mai is a good place to stay.

having lived there for a decade can suggest areas. The nature outside around the city is amazing and tantalizing. Look around the Mae Wang river. this is less touristy and totally mind blowing lay back

i figured something like that., 45 mins from bangkok is phuket and i doubled it and guessed the rest. I was figuring how long it takes me to drive to florida from boston which is 20 hours compared to flying there which is 3 hours. I think saigon was 45 min or less as was siem reap cambodia was pretty close from bkk. 2 hrs is a quick jaunt too.

I stayed at the Movenpick. It was very nice and a great location.

Suggest going to Chiang Rai as well. Cheap bus ride if I remember correctly about 3 hours. Nice roads to explore around there as well.

My partner and I stayed in Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort twice during March (a total of around 14 nights). It is a very comfortable boutique hotel with great service, nice large rooms and only 10 minutes walk from Tha Pae Gate (just far enough away to be nice and quiet at night). We stayed in one of the ground level direct pool access rooms, which was a nice bonus. If you are driving a car, they also have plenty of parking. We will definitely stay there again when we next visit Chiang Mai. Happy trails.

Go to PAI ,and Mae Hong Son..renting a motobike or car .

Then you can go and spend a night in TATHON , and the next day catch a boat to CHiang Rai , travel around C.RAI : waterfalls White temple , Black Temple, trips along the Mekong river , eventually go to Mae Sai ( burmese border) great big market in the morning( nobody will tell you about this , because you have to go early) ...Then you can go to MAE SALONG and around then you will have travel the nicest roads of northern Thailand . ❤❤ all of this considering you rented a motorbike or a car . Your asking is not precise enough . So it's hard to say . If your question is just asking for where to sleep in CHIANG MAI 🤔🤔🤔 THEN Any guide will give you 100 places to stay depending on your budget from 10$ to 500$ 🤣🤣👏Enjoy

is spot on. Stay in a couple of spots so you can get immersed in these areas. If you're feeling adventurous rent a bike and ride to Pai for a couple of nights. The road to Pai is one of the nicest road if ever ridden on.
Steve **********
@Paul *****
During rainy season be VERY careful biking to Pai.

Google maps is an excellent source. Will give you real pictures of the rooms and lobby area as well as dining areas and breakfast if served. Also real reviews from real people they’re fairly accurate Oh BTW I will give you the price make sure you plug in the correct dates prices change by the date.

For 15 days you may want split between a few different places. Thapae , Nimman and out of town in the mountains.
Aaron ********
Away by Thapae resorts

Just book a hotel on Agoda for a couple of nights, wander around and see if you find somewhere that suits you better and book there, or several. Few places are at capacity currently and you won't have an issue finding accomodation. It's not a big city. You may prefer old city, you may prefer just outside. Work it out when you get there
Di ********
I like to stay at the Night Bazaar Inn, as it is very close to Markets......very nice staff, great price.

I tend to find Google helps with these kind of questions. Why? So you can look for things based on your interests, budget, etc etc, none of which you've provided.
