TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster seeks recommendations for Test and Go hotels in Chiang Mai and inquires about the need for an RT PCR test before their flight. Multiple commenters suggest options like PARC Borough Hotel and mention that travelers might need to spend the first day in Bangkok before flying to Chiang Mai. It is confirmed that an RT PCR test is still required 72 hours before the flight. Recent updates indicate only limited international flights to Chiang Mai, primarily from Singapore.

Just one international flight in from Singapore. So if coming directly from Singapore, you can do your Day 1 here in CM. Lots of options in town. Several friends booked with Stay with Nimman.

Chiang Mai isn't in lockdown and Scoot was flying into CNX. Flights schedules are limited and there is no sealed transit through BKK. Best option would be do the first night in BKK, then take a flight day 2.
