TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler is seeking budget-friendly hotel recommendations in Bangkok for a 4-night stay, focusing on areas with easy access to MRT and BTS, particularly in Siam or Sukhumvit. Responses suggest a variety of hotels including Miami Hotel, Hopeland, Kritthai Residence, and Ibis Riverside, with comments highlighting their proximity to public transport and nightlife options. Other suggestions emphasize the importance of different price ranges and the subjective nature of budget accommodation.
for GoGo’s and bars absolutely. For night clubs maybe close to Soi 11 or Ekkamai

Ibis styles Phra Khanong, 5 minute walk to BTS couple of stops from the big shopping malls along Sukhumvit

Ibis Riverside is a great mid range Hotel in a great location, you can even take a night time river cruise with dinner from nearby Icon Siam and see many of the important sites of interest, also not far from Lumpini park where you can see the giant Water monitors strolling around,
I have stopped here a couple of times . Great location to the river /BTS and Museum . The Food was excellent . Hotel was clean . My only minor point was that the noise does transmit through the walls . I would recommend this Hotel. Please note there is a Further Ibis in the town ( Sorry forgot the name )
That must depend on the room I guess, mine was facing the river and there was no noise at all. yes I loved the location quite a few Bars, coffee shops and both International and local restaurants too literally within 50m

If you are coming alone, I suggest the Kritthai Residence Hotel, which is direct across the street the MBK mall and walking distance to Siam Square as well. Also, the Stadium BTS is at the doorstep. Agoda has good pricing for this hotel. For even cheaper pricing is Citrus Sukhumvit 13 Nana or Citrus Sukhumvit 11 are a good choices. These two are more located to the nighlife, club and food scenes. Another point is that these are low rise hotels which many people are considering due to recent eathquake event. Cheers!!
You should still be able to get good deals on these hotels. I really like Kritthai Residence Hotel as Stadium BTS is at the doorstep and walkable to many malls and foodie areas.

Google Maps is quite helpful as you can see hotels close to train services. MRT/Skytrain are efficient and cheap so no problem staying further out but try and avoid peak commuter times.

Budget friendly is subjective. What is budget friendly to me might be expensive or cheap to you. But you just listed the 2 of the most expensive areas in Bangkok.
