4:good cheap hotel to stay near Thai embassy

5: next day return of passport .

6: any other travel options I need to know or any other tíos on the journey , visas ,hotels ,etc

Good hotel near the thai embassy in savannakhet “macchiato resort” , right across the street. On all the travel websites its like 2800 baht but i walked up in person yesterday and they told me 1000 a night

3. or 1800B

4. Look for availability on booking.com

5. passport & documents morning of day 1, collect passport with Visa afternoon day 2

6. Visa on Arrival is available at the bridge/border, takes minutes to complete or there's an eVisa option (works out cheaper than Baht or Dollar cash)

it's a good idea to use the consulate in Savannakhet. You could fly to Ubon Ratchathani and take the bus to Mukdahan from there

Sure fly into a country that is in a civil war. Good idea.

don't believe all the hype. You'd never be allowed anywhere close to any distrubance. And, you're only going to the Thai embassy and returning. You're not vacationing in the countryside. I've been there many times. It is safer than you think

good to know, thanks.

Just fly to Yangon Myanmar and use the Thai embassy there. It is very fast, with no waiting. Two days and you're done. There are flights out of chiang mai.

you are aware of travel restrictions attempting to fly into Yangon?

On arrival in Myanmar, foreign travellers are required to present printed proof of travel insurance that covers COVID-19. You will also need to submit a health declaration form, which will typically have been given to you during your flight.

Plus you need to apply for a visa before travelling.

you're about a full year behind times.

I suggest you go read the requirements.

Flying into Yangon is a totally different game than doing a border crossing at Ranong and being restricted to that area.

I've been there many times, have you?

I've spent more years there than you've spent in Thailand.

Although in your case, that's not very long.

It's ok. We all know your an expert know it all 🤭

I'm done with you now so carry on regardless

so now you attack me because you are wrong. Grow up.

I would not recommend going to Yangon. There is a civil war ongoing in Myanmar. Every country has issued a travel warning. Your advise is 🤮

@Nongnuch *******
yeah, and there's bombings in Thailand so stay away.
Nongnuch ********
@Kool ******
actually yes, there is occasional bombing in Narathiwat and Yala province of Thailand. You better quit handing out silly advice

@Nongnuch *******
going to the Thai embassy in Yangon is not silly advice at all.
