Leaving tomorrow from bkk to pattya. Has anyone used the klook bus going there? Other recommendations?

Also any recommendations for medium priced hotels in a mostly walkable location, with decent WiFi, aircon, and hot water in shower? How many days seems enough to get a good feel of the area?

Thanks for any info 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses travel options from Bangkok to Pattaya, particularly asking about Klook buses but also receiving various suggestions, including Rung Rueang bus from Ekkamai and the Bell bus service. Recommendations for medium-priced hotels emphasize the need for walkable locations, decent Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and hot water availability. Several users suggest staying 5-7 days to fully experience Pattaya, while some mentioned quick visits based on personal experiences. Overall, several hotel names and booking suggestions are provided, focusing on central Pattaya locations.

Sabai Inn or Sabai lodge on Soi 2 both fairly inexpensive and 2 minutes to beach road or for something a little more upmarket Hotel Vista on Soi 4. Booking and Agoda have many listing for central Pattaya. Good luck.

, for accommodation in Pattaya , I stayed in an Airbnb property in central Pattaya right next to the beach road. Best area to stay in Pattaya.

I got the entire 2BR luxury property with Seaview from the balcony and had access to the gym, Wi-Fi, infinity pool located on the rooftop where you can get an entire 360° view of the Pattaya city.

Got this at a cheaper price btw 80-85 USD for the entire property.

Feel free to read about this property experience to know more, this might be helpful for you to plan your accommodation,

Visited once in 2005 arrived late left early gave me the creeps. Figured out the M.O. in a matter of minutes. NO THANKS!

I spent the day there once from bkk 10 years ago. Thought it was very ordinary as a tourist destination and quiet. I believe it's somewhat different at night.

As mentioned in other posts, the public bus is only 130 baht (or whatever), its usually pretty quick, drops you at the North Pattaya bus station.

A couple of days to see all Pattaya has to offer. Its actually a small place.

Most anything on beach road will be loud. I have never stayed at the fancy hotels (Hilton or similar) so I couldn't say if they are better.

Tourists go to Soi 6 (Pattay Beach Road), walking street, beach road. Locals go to Soi Bakhao. I would google those places and find where you want to stay in relation to those locations... The closer you are the louder it will be.

Large a/c bus from Ekkamai 131฿ or you can book a taxi which is approximately 1200-1500฿ and takes about the same amount of time, 2-2.5 hours depending on traffic.

I suggest you use Agoda for looking at or booking a hotel. You can use the filter option to pick and choose what options you want/require. I’d say you won’t have to worry about the hot water as almost every rental there will have it.

If you haven’t been there before, I would say 5-7 days to get the feel of the whole of Pattaya. If you’re going to party and drink only, a couple of days would do. If you get bored, jump on a boat over to Koh Larn for the day or stay a hour there.

thanks for that reply! I May move the trip to Friday but the info is what I need. I use Agoda a lot but I’ve gotten good referrals before from boots on the ground dudes who have been places I haven’t

I’ve been there many times.

The season I say to use the filter in Agoda is, it lets YOU decide the perfect area.

All you’re going to get for answers on here is everyone and their mother’s opinion.

We all chose locations that will meet our person needs.

There are many reasons to go to Pattaya. Without knowing yours, it’s hard to give advice as to where to stay.

@Randy *******
true. I’m mostly going for the women but I also like to look around to see any interesting areas like beaches etc

I didn’t want to assume you were going there for that reason 😉.

I suggest you stay somewhere away from the craziness, if you’re a light sleeper.

The 10฿ trucks will take you to pretty much any area you need to go. It’s not hard to catch on how they operate.

Lots like to stay at Areca Lodge. It’s in a great location. Look up towards Soi Buakhao area.

I use the Rung Rueang Bus (Ekkamai BTS) to Pattaya for 160 baht. It leaves every hour from Ekkamai.
