TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around seeking assistance for obtaining a retirement visa in Pattaya. Multiple users recommend various agencies, including MOTS and One Stop Visa, for their excellent service and quick processing times. Overall, there's a mix of recommendations for agencies and encouragement for self-processing.

It’s a simple process, don’t waste your money on an agency! Your local immigration office will support you.

@David ******
I used a visa agent because I place a high value on my time. It was a great decision and I use my agent for all things related to immigration. Not a waste of money at all. Made the process stress free.

@Bill ********
in my opinion, a waste of money! I just received my DTV visa and even this process was simple! Saved myself around 20,000baht probably!

@David ******
As long as that works for you. I can cover 20k baht from passive income while I'm sleeping. But I can't manufacture time. So I like my approach. 🙏
Martin ********
@David ******
that’s great for you but the OP wants to use an agent as do many people for very valid reasons.

The agency who runs this thread.. Thai Visa Centre
Mau ********
Just ask immigration what you need, I do it alone for 12 years already

Do you mean a

Full Retirement Visa from a tourist Visa
Fra *****
Do it yourself , so easy
Mike ******
@Fra ****
I concur. Very easy if you have your crap together. 😎
Yves *****************
@Fra ****
yes, if you use a Agency for "normal" Visa there is something wrong... 555

@Yves ****************
... Some people don't get along with officialdom.... It's what you prefer and what way you do it.
Rhys ********
@Yves ****************
if you got plenty of money why do something you’re self
Bill *********
@Rhys *******
Exactly... I place a high value on my time and reducing stress. I can make money but I cannot make time. I use a Visa agent for everything.
Rhys ********
@Bill ********
especially if you’re making money online maybe in trading etc you can literally make more money while they’re doing it for you and the money you made far exceeds the expenses
Ian *******
@Rhys *******
so maybe 2 hours out of your 8760 hours in a year, to do a stay extension, is going to make a big difference to your money making ability?
Rhys ********
@Ian ******
I do day trading as a side hustle I want be there during trading hours as the potential to make is during those hours and if you’re not on point you could lose a lot of money but if you know what you’re doing and you’re seeing what’s going on you can rinse and repeat and it’s a lot more profitable than the messily amount it will cost you to use an agent
Bill *********
@Rhys *******
Precisely!
Ben *******
@Bill ********
... Exactly correct, Bill. They just take the stress out of everything. I still take my passport into the visa office for my 90 day report. I could do it online but it gives me something to do and see everyone and catch up.
Bill *********
@Ben ******
If you have the time that sounds like a good use of it. My way of handling the 90 day report... Take a trip! I take that obligation as a little reminder to get out of the house and go somewhere. Other than my initial report nearly 3 years ago I've never had to file a 90 day report. But I've got some good travel stories! Going to Phu Quoc later this month. ✈️😁
Ben *******
@Bill ********
... Awesome. My 90 day report doesn't cost me anything either.
Fra *****
What is for you plenty of Money 😜🤣
Rhys ********
@Fra ****
I’d say most expats in Pattaya would spend their money on 30 baht noodles shoe box apartments so they can afford the degenerate lifestyle of alcoholism and prostitution
Ben *******
Go see Mark at One Stop Visa bottom of Soi 6 on beach road. He'll sort out everything for you. He has sorted everything out for me.
Gamalier ********
Mark has done everything for me no problems getting everything done
